Phanteks Enthoo Primo Review 3
Reservoir bracket can be use as a cable cover with the modular cover on or as a reservoir bracket with the pre-drilled holes when cover is off. Enthoo Primo includes a pump bracket that supports many different pumps, side radiator bracket, and a bottom radiator bracket for easy installation. Pros:-Absolutely massive case. Whatever you have planned, this case can most likely make it happen, particularly if you're looking for custom watercooling setups.
Plenty of radiator/reservoir mounting points.-Plenty of expansion potential for both drives and LED and fans.-PWM hub already included with pre-installed cabling for Leds and additional fans.-Plenty of extra hardware included for mounting and installation.-Interior color is generously applied and looks very high quality. Color is solid and is present throughout the case, offering a nice touch.-Universal screws used for nearly every panel/mounting plate for cards etc. Tons of extra screws provided.-Included fans are surprisingly quiet.-Plenty of space for cable management routing, included mounting straps are very handy.-Easily removable air filters for both front, top and bottom intakes, cover plates also handily marked to easily eject covers for the air filters.-Included LEDs are a nice touch and add a nice accent to the front and side of the case without being too flashy.Cons:-Heavy. This is a massive case. Keep that in mind when you set this up at your desk. You will need more room.-Because case is so massive, you'll most likely need PWM/Fan cable extensions to properly route fan cables behind the case, particularly if you're going to be installing additional bottom or top mount intakes.-Fan mounts are somewhat mis-sized. Had difficulty installing non-Phanteks fans initially, particularly if they use any kind of quick-mount/non-standard screw mounts to install.
Need to use regular screw mounts to install any non-phanteks fans.-Only rear exhaust fan that's included comes with the silencer pads, and there does not appear to be any way to order additional silencer pads from Phanteks. Could not also locate Phanteks fans with silencer pads already included for sale either. Odd choice to only provide silencer pads on one fan instead of all 4 other fans.-Not possible to install lower rear exhaust fan if you install dual bottom mount exhaust fans. Small issue, but it bears noting.-Installed fan LED cables appear to only work with Phanteks fans, but could not find additional green LED Phanteks fans for sale Only the front mounted included fans have leds while the other 3 do not just FYI.-Included PWM hub is completely exposed without any cover of the internals.
Can become an issue if you're running a lot of cabling on the back side of the motherboard tray.-While it claims to have multiple mounting points for radiators, the sheer size of the case would make that setup very difficult for pre-made AIOs. Pretty much the only mounting point for closed loop AIOs will be the top mount or rear-top mount for cpu or graphics cards due to the sheer length the tubing would have to traverse in order to work.Overall Review:Overall, despite all the cons I laid out, this is a great case, particularly if you're going to be custom building a real showpiece. Had I known how many bells and whistles this thing came with, I probably would have gone with a simpler case in the end. This case is primarily designed with custom water loop setups in mind, and my single AIO cooler for the CPU makes this case complete overkill. I mainly bought it for the superb internal paintjob (the color is my thing you know) more than anything else, but it is nice having the sheer customization available, and the workspace for the motherboard installation is very well laid out, as well as the power supply area.
The way it tucks itself out of the way hides quite a bit of cabling which is a nice touch. Also, I didn't like that while it does ostensibly come with a bunch of preinstalled PWM/cabling for leds and fans, this case basically shoehorns you towards Phanteks fans if you want to take full advantage of it, particularly if you want to rock LED fans. That's definitely an issue to consider with this setup. Pros:I was able to fit everything perfecting minus the shroud that covers the cable management ports.
My GPU is just slightly too long i cannot put the shroud back in. It was with cables already pre-routed in the back with a PWM fan controllers pre-installed.Cons:I wish the shroud had a little more depth to it so i could fit my GPU and the shroud in to hide all the cables coming through the backside of the case. No eggs off since i was pretty sure this was going to be the case when i purchased it.Overall Review:AMD Ryzen 7 2700G.Skill Fortis 64gbMSI GeForce RTX 2080Samsung 860 Evo 2TBx2Samsung 970 Evo 1TB m.2Asus ROG Strix x470-FCorsair H100i PROSeasonic 850W PlatinumPhanteks Enthoo Primo CaseAsus ROG Swift 27' 165hz x2. Pros:twice the size i was expecting, but that is ok because space for it is not an issue. The space inside is outstanding. There is no need to fret, this case has space for a gerbil cage inside along with your water cooling system. I sent my little brother inside just to work on some of the smaller parts and i think he got lost.
He came back out with a beard.Cons:the plate that covers the front lower panel with the 2 front fans was broken on arrival. But by broken i mean the plastic clips that fasten at the top 'push to open/lock' mechanism are no longer a part of the plate. Luckily the plate still sits in there unless i open the top panel to reveal the drive bays. I will be attempting to contact the seller to see if i can just get another plate if possible.Overall Review:other than that, thanks to the Netherlands for making such a bomb diggity case! Pros:Size, Customization, Looks great. Everything fit with room to spare in front.Even with the bad wiring job I did thanks to my old SATA data cables and the not quite long enough SATA power cables, the rear panel went on easily enough.Update: After owning it for over a year, my opinion remains the same.
It's a sweet case. The green LED looks nice, as does the LED fans, combined with a BitFenix Magnetic LED Strip the case looks awesome, and my blue and black Asus boards colors don't stand out like a sore thumb.Cons:Size, 40lbs empty. It's quite an effort to pick it up and move it. Even more so with parts in it.I realize I could've removed it to wire it, but the res mounting plate made connecting SATA data cables a curse worthy task.Overall Review:This is a knock on my custom cables from Cable mod. The SATA Power cables were a pain to run for my SSD's.I need to order some longer round SATA data cables as well, my old case required 90 degree ones due to space on the back side, I had to use an old ugly one for one of my SSDs, (it's like a powder blue) due to space limitations for the SSD mounts.
Pros:-Fantastic watercooling support. I'm able to fit in 2 480 mm rads, with a 120 and 240.-Good cable management. Plenty of zap straps and the like.-Easy to take apart and work in.
Phanteks Enthoo Primo Manual
I was able to take apart and take off many of the components without difficulty, and have since modded the case.Cons:-Acrylic side panel. This case has an acrylic side panel, which although clear, scratches easily and at this cases price should really be replaced with tempered glass.Overall Review:I would recommend this product highly, and wouldn't even consider any case other than this and perhaps the Thermaltake Tower. However, a tempered glass update is a must. Pros:This case is perfect for those who want to do a custom liquid cooling loop. I did a lot of looking to find a case that could support Monsta (85mm thick) radiators and this one fit the bill. I even confirmed with Phanteks support (very responsive) before purchasing.
Easy case, fan controller, lighting control, etc. Tamil devotional songs free download. All built in and functionalCons:Ok, so I did my research to make sure the 'cons' wouldn't be an issue for me, so please make sure you know what you're building before you buy:There is a removable 'panel' that may block some longer graphics cards, not an issue if you either have a shorter card or if you were planning to remove it. (I have a medium length card and ended up mounting my gigantic reservoir to this piece of metal)The radiator mount in the back for a smaller res/pump tends to block larger power supplies and makes the cables not fit with my 1000w (if I were using this mount point, which I'm not).the lower right side of the case has clear plastic, but is only usable to view the 'Phanteks' logo.
I really don't mind, the logo plate is interchangeable but I wish they would have made it slightly wider, I wanted to stick a flow meter in there, but not enough room.Overall Review:The above 'cons' are only a 'con' if you're not expecting it. I'm mentioning it here so that you can be informed.
I'm not counting it against their rating since it is and does everything it claims to be. I love the case, and I'll definitely be a Phanteks customer again in the future. I would highly recommend this case to anyone looking to do custom liquid cooling loops with large rads and large reservoirs. Just be conscious of you graphics card length. Pros:Great size, supports most of the water cooling kits regardless of the brand.I'm currently sporting 'EK-KIT X360' - triple rad watercooling setup on this case and all components fit perfectly, No modding was necessary to install the liquid cooling kit.Cons:One of the rubber piece on the bottom of the case is missing. I've read reviews from other websites and people were having the same issue.
Phanteks Enthoo Primo Review
It's hard to notice the problem, since the case is extremely heavy, and people don't ever bother to flip the case to check the bottom.Overall Review:Overall quality of the case is one of the best, but a missing part is something that I cannot accept.
