Media Offline: Where has my media gone?:(Please follow ALL steps below, Windows/Mac. 1.1: Check Media Location (Where Avid is looking)We need to find out where Avid thinks the media should be. To check the media location (Where Avid has stored it's import OR where a AMA linked file exists.).
Change the Bin View to Media Tool. Look for the Drive column.
Attach the external drive if not attached. If it displays C:/ or UOS then this suggests your media has been imported to a local drive and exists ONLY on a single machine in the University.
If you can remember the machine - login and follow 1.3If you can't remember- follow 1.4 (This requires your original SD Card). If it displays E:/ or NO NAME then this suggests your media has not been imported (Likely AMA linked) and has only remained on the SD Card. Plugging the SD Card in may fix this issue however its strongly recommended to follow 1.3 below to move media to the main media drive.1.2: I think media is in the right place but Avid can't see it (Offline). Tools Console.
