I have Windows 7 Ultimate on all my PC's. I want to remotely control another Windows 7 Ultimate computer that is 80 miles away. I CAN do it easily with LogMeIn and GoToMyPC, but I don't feel like paying a monthly subscription fee to them. When either my ISP or Dell do tech support on my computer, they have some tiny application which gives them full control over my PC. Why can't the application built into WINDOWS 7 work? I can't comprehend that hundreds of millions of computers are running Windows, yet Microsoft can't provide working instructions for remote control. @Rain comment 74 - create another user with a different name and password but same privileges (if you wish) then you'll remain logged in the host as user 1 and still be able to log in remotely as user 2@Beavis comment 76 - actually MS did indeed allow such (easy) access in their earlier versions of Windows (NT series) but these were abused by malicious hackers as 'backdoors' and such PCs taken over and abused as 'zombies'.
