Wow Addon To Move Anything
MoveAnything enables you to move, scale, hide and adjust transparency of just about any screen element in WoW, offering tools to help you customize your UI. Some other frame modifications is also possible using MA's Frame Editors(introduced in 11.b2).Type /move to show the main window or click the button below the game menu. This main window contains a list of Blizzard's frames(any element not in the list can be added to the Custom Frames category by either /move frameName, /hide frameName or one of the move/hide keybindings).Maintained by Wagthaa of Earthen Ring EU since the pre-WotLK patch. Kudos to Skrag(original author), Jason(vanilla mod) & Vincent(tbc) for earlier versions.Reporting Bugs:. Include the LUA error message if applicable!. If the problem is with a certain frame, always try to reset the frame and reload before modifying it again.
If the problem persists please report it at the above link. Make sure you are running the latest version! You would be surprised how much time is wasted by reports of issues that are already resolved. The LUA error message should be from an addon such as Swatter(a part of Auctioneer) or BugSack if at all possible.
If the issue you are reporting is the result of a LUA error and you don't include this you might as well not bother posting. If you feel like being helpful include your MA profile as an exported textstring in the report. Any comment on Curse or forum post on WoWInterface containing a full error report will be deleted, as one of those quickly takes up more than half a page.Screenshots. All screenshots was taken with a customized button skin loaded. Buttons will appear as other buttons in your WoW.Quick Reference for MoveAnythingMain window:. Move - toggles a mover for the frame. I have been using it since 2-3 months after WoW went live, and I still find it the cleanest and best frame mover. Thank you also for staying with the roots. We can move anything anywhere and you dont sell inventory for us, make announcements or colorize our bags. Any of the zillion other things we can get from a dozen different mobs. Move Anything just moves things, superbly.Highest Regards, RaederleThanks, much appreciated. Kind words always gets a smile on my face =)I will do my best to keep going in the same manner, even as I keep struggling to find unintrusive places for my new features.I have however sneaked two small non related features in, minimap mousewheel zoom and square minimap, but have only included them as they takes up very little space/memory(the ui option to toggle them actually takes up more space than the features themselves). The upcoming features will however all deal with UI customization, with focus on improving the base features.
Starting with providing an alternative method of modifying frames in 11.b2. Originally posted by menace97I completely agree with the previous posters, Wagthaa. Thank you so much! One thing I cannot seem to understand is the 'sync' button. I have read the explanation 'Synchronizes all frames modified by MoveAnything,' but I still am not sure what frames get syncronized to. So what in layman's terms does this button do?Sorry for what must be an obvious thing to others - thanks for any assistance!Yet again, thanks =)The sync button positions, scales, hides and alpha blends all frames you have modified with MoveAnything as applicable (aka it synchronizes them).
Use this button in case some other source modifies a frame placing it the wrong spot messing up your UI. Due to a change in -11.b1 this button should now be even more rarely needed.
Originally posted by SpahutWhen I hit ESC and open the options interface, the 'MoveAnything' button is at the bottom outside the window. Is that on purpose? Not that it matters greatly because MoveAnything works fine, I just found it and so far nothing to complain about. Thanks alot of maintaining thisIt is indeed on purpose. Back pre wrath(when I picked up this project) it was placed in the list with the other buttons, but this caused all sorts of conflicts with other addons so I moved it to it's present location. You can move it with MA if you want it somewhere else.My pleasure, though I doubt I will ever merely be maintaining this. Simply got too many ideas for bettering the addon, so when I aren't on a wow break it's under constant development. I must admit I generally hold myself back as to not break the feel of the addon. Or i should say i cant move the way i want. For one if i go in to the MISC tab and click buffs and then drag the buff bar the highlighted box moves but the rest dont, second if i do finaly get them to move(witch has only happned 1 time) when i then use a temp buff like a fishing lure the 1st buff bar jumps down and to the left covering bars 2 and moves to the left of the screen about 1' from the non temp buff location.other this this every thing eles seems to be working fine on both PTR and Beta serversCheers for the update. Doubt I will get an author key before release, so it's much appreciated! The 11.b2 I am working on contains 'virtual movers' for several frame's buffs and debuffs. I hope to have it ready soon, just need to get the time to sort a couple issues. Hope to release it sometime during this weekend. To finish off this wall of text, I was wondering how you all like the recent changes? Any features you would like to see implemented? Thanks in advance for any and all feedback.

New beta version released, 11.b1. It contains several fixes as well as a couple new features. It's marked as a beta only because it does not yet contain all the features which was planned for -11.11.b1 loads without errors on PTR, so it should work for Cataclysm(Update: a friendly user has confirmed it to work properly in the beta, thanks again, it's much appreciated). Will run proper throughout tests once my character copies have completed.I had to pull several new features that I'm working on, but felt it was worth it in order to get a 4.0.1 compatible version out there. I will add the new features back in as time allows me to complete them.Change summary for 11.b1:updated to run with WoW 4.0.1, though a full test won't be done until my character copy is completed. It will show as outdated unless you update the toc to 40000dropped wow version from version stringadded search field to the frame list.

So released it as a regular release 5 minutes after having written this message originally. Was fortunate enough to snag some really good bud yesterday so I decided to pull an all-nighter and completely revamp my ui/addons.

I use a decent amount of addons and perhaps one of them is conflicting with Move Anything or there is a glitch with the addon itself?I currently use the following addons:Aggro NotifierAuctionLiteBagonBartender 4GladiusGladminishMove AnythingOmniCCPostalPurgeatoryShadowsight TimerSnowfall KeypressSpell AlerterTitan PanelTidy PlatesHere's my issue, any help would be greatly appreciated as I spent a considerable amount of time trying to figure this out to no avail. For whatever reason, my target debuffs/buffs are moving every time I exit combat, so if I vanish, they move etc. They keep swapping from the same two places, they start out initially where I want them right under the target portrait nice and neat. Screen here:However after I vanish or exit combat they then move right in the middle of my screen which is driving me nuts.Anyone who knows how to get the target debuff frame to stay locked like it is in the first screenshot, I will love you forever if you can tell me how. In fact, I will give whoever can post a solution to this 1k gold on Either Illidan, Cho'gall or Detheroc server horde side. Help me out please!
YaHTThe most essential addon for any hunter is an auto-shot timer. It will display a timer that will tell you when your auto-shot is ready to go. This will allow you to time your Multi Shot and Aimed Shot perfectly in-between your auto-shot, maximising DPS. I would suggest using YaHT (Yet Another Hunter Timer). It works as well as any other timer out there and has the most options for customisation I have seen.Let’s have a look at how it works. When the bar is red it means stand still, auto shot is ready to cast.
Auto shot has 0.5s cast time and moving will cancel it.When the bar is white auto-shot is in down time – waiting to be ready to fire again. You are free to move around or cast Multi & Aimed Shot. When the white bar runs out stand still again to cast auto-shot.Here are the customisation options. Lazy PigLazy Pig is a ‘Quality Of Life’ Addon. That means it does things to make playing World Of Warcraft a little bit easier. A couple of useful ones are:Auto Dismount: You don’t have to dismount before attacking or casting. Lazy pig will dismount for you and start casting.Auto Release in BG: Releases as soon as you die in a battle ground so you don’t miss the resurrection timer.Anyway, the reason you should get Lazy Pig is ‘Increase Camera Distance’.
This lets you zoom out the camera further, allowing you to see much more – amazing for battlegrounds. Check out how far out it goes in the screenshot below. Look how small the character is – insane!
