Okay, took me a bit to get the right tuner from Pro Bitz. Make sure you let them know if it is bosch connector 1 or bosch connector 2. They will help you identify which one you have. So I installed mine, installation was easy and only took about 20 minutes.
Latest version of chrome. The hardest part was figuring out the safety clip. You slide the yellow safety clip back and then depress the clip. Make sure you secure the wiring harness so that it is away from the hot spots. I routed mine over to the left side of the engine compartment and can make adjustments easily. The one thing I had to do was remove the safety protection on the end of the connector that goes to the fuel rail so that the wires can fit in before the heat shield.Okay, on to testing. I tested a 20 mile route, mostly flat. I used the same acceleration points and drove nonstop.
I got 26 mpg before and 29.5 after. Not a huge difference, but well worth the $200 invested. During normal driving that I do on a daily basis I have been able to improve my mpg to almost 5mpg. Seems the best range for saving is 40-50 mph.Tuning is easy, all you need is a small flat screwdriver and some patience. A friend with a scanner to reset the engine light if it come on s handy too since I went to far and had to dial it back a bit. These products have a limited reach and are fairly simple in their operation. If you can wait on development of more refined calibrations, I'd recommend it. It takes a little longer to map the ECU and develop a flash tool, which is generally accepted as the preferred tuning solution.To further complicate the process, Bosch - the maker of the Ecodiesel ECU has made OBD reading and flashing very, very difficult. This ECU is nothing like those used in the gas Jeeps.

You will not see support from Diablo/HP tuners/Etc. It's an EDC17 and it requires splitting the case and bench flashing at this time. I'm working on it, it's a process though.Nick.
